Elk City—the NYC art-pop band with eight records in 24 years—will support the 9/22 release of its new album Undertow on the Magic Door Record Label by performing at Pet Shop on Newark Avenue in Jersey City September 7. Also on the bill will be CR & The Nones in support of The Ghosts Are Home, on the same label, due September 8. It’s an intriguing pairing. The first single from the Elk City record is “Strong (You’re Not Alone),” for which they filmed the video at Eagle Rock Reservation in West Orange and Kip’s Castle Park in Verona.
