Singer-Songwriter-Guitarist-Mandolinist-Harmonica player James Dalton will bring his one-man show to the stage of the Showroom movie theater on Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park on January 14. Entitled “Asbury Park & Me,” it’s part of the Light Of Day series of events. Dalton describes himself as a “father, musician, gardener, realtor, actor and knucklehead” (in that order). Jersey through and through, he lives in Cedarwood Park, is originally from Bay Head, and graduated from Point Pleasant High School. He does a great version of Dylan’s “It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry” in that rough-hewn craggy soulful bluster of a voice.
