Touring with Pop Evil and Fame On Fire in support of its new “Crawl Space” song, the North Carolina six-piece LYLVC—who recently wrapped up opening for Atreyu—houses a singer (Alyse Zavala), a rapper (Oscar Romero Lemus) and a screamer (bassist Kenneth Kaval) amid synthesizers, lead guitar and drums. Zavala says of the new song, “…I have had times in my life, especially during childhood, when I was treated pretty inhumanely…I struggled with wondering if my death would even matter to anyone…I still struggle sometimes with feeling paralyzed…the lost little girl stuck in a crawl space.” The silence of the night-time shore where water meets sand will be shattered by the unholy sounds coming out of The Stone Pony in Asbury Park on Nov. 4.
