Stevie Van Zandt’s latest signing to his Wicked Cool record label is Marc Valentine, who’s being called “The New King Of British Power-Pop.” His album, Basement Sparks, is due March 22. The first single, “Strange Weather,” is out now. In 2022, his Future Obscure debut received raves. He used to sing in Last Great Dreamers, a London-based glam band. Now, he says, “it’s a dream-come-true to have this record released by Stevie Van Zandt, and to be on his label with so many great artists. Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect it, and I like to think there are a few more pleasant surprises to come. In England, we dream about playing America. I’ve been wanting to since I was a kid, so to finally get there is going to be an incredible buzz.” Live At Drew’s, in Ringwood, will certainly be buzzing on March 24.
