His music is now much more ballsy, much more TEXAS. He describes it as “gritty and raw.” “Lucretia,” according to him, “is about getting out of a situation where you feel stuck. You just got to put one foot in front of the other, and that’s how I felt writing this song. It’s got biting guitar tones into a bouncy groove to get you on your feet and out of the mud.”
