Jam-grass masters Yonder Mountain String Band will make a rare East Coast appearance down the shore in Asbury at the Stone Pony Summer Stage July 5. It’s been two decades of pioneering sound for this Colorado crew. The new EP is I’d Like Off, never-before-released and newly rediscovered from 2011 with late bandmate Jeff Austin. There’s no telling what genre this band will traverse from bluegrass and alt-rock to blues, country and folk. They are, in a word, stunning. And their progressive stringed stomp will sizzle your brain into complete subservience.
