Question: What will Hoboken torch singer Tammy Faye Starlite come up with next? Answer: “Scorsese & The Stones” finds her plummeting the depths of Hollywood Director Martin Scorsese’s Stones love as used in his films Mean Streets, Goodfellas, Casino and The Departed. The Rothsteins are a drums/guitar (2)/bass/keyboards/back-up vocals sextet. Starlite tells us, “[the idea is to] recall the scenes from the films, flickering like phantasms in the background with images that reflect the glimmer of malevolence and the yearning for the soul’s divinity inherent in the work of the artists being celebrated.” Indeed, images from the aforementioned movies plus Shine A Light, the Stone concert movie, will, flicker in the background.
