Supporting their album Honey, the Vakili Band hits Newark running on the second stop of their seven-show trek (with more shows to be added). The Montclair band blends soul, rock and classic psychedelic jams. Ballsy lead singer Lily Vakili wrote current single “Yves Calls Her Betty” with tongue planted firmly in cheek: “Aah, we live a decadent life/All drugs and drink and sex all night/Making fun of everyone. Seduce them!”
