Meet… Jame Minogue

Jaime Minogue

All he wants to be is in his baby’s arms. Thus, “In Your Arms” is the new single from Perth Amboy genre-bender Jame Minogue who we wrote about last year when his cumbia-styled cover version of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” brought him to our attention. They call him “Latin-Alternative” as he mixes’n’matches bi-lingual alt-rock with electronica.

“I wrote ‘In Your Arms’ to capture the exhaustion and anxiety that follow a long day. In today's world, we're overwhelmed by screens, constant information, and draining social interactions. Ultimately, I find solace in the embrace of a lover where I feel safest,” says Jame.

He performed on National Public Radio’s “Tiny Desk” and the Summer Station Festival in Santo Domingo, the capitol of the Dominican Republic. His “Hear Me Out” duet with Latin pop artist Kordelya was featured in Netflix’s Mexican show “Rebelde.” His second EP, Principe Azul was well-received and now he’s working on new sounds that merge genres. We’re sure we’ll be hearing a lot more from him in the near future.
