Meet… Kathleen Elle

Kathlene Elle

Middlesex County Singer-Songwriter Kathleen Elle blends pop, folk and rock (with punk/old-school girl-group overtones overlapping all three genres). She tells heartfelt stories within her songs that stick like a tattoo on the brain. Her new Memory Lane album is a delight. She writes of pivotal life moments, relationships and her innermost emotions.

"For me, the Jersey Shore is where my performing journey began,” she tells us. “I've been playing out down the shore since I was 13, busking on the curb outside Strollo's, and have grown to play sets at the Saint, Wonder Bar and Asbury Hotel. While the majority of my gigs have been cover sets at a variety of restaurants, once I say that I have original tunes, it almost always turns into patrons requesting to hear one, and then another and another and so on. The support of original music by the average restaurant goer is unlike anything I've seen elsewhere, except maybe in Nashville. Thus, The Jersey Shore has been and always will be a home for singer-songwriters."
