Meet… Matt Francis

Matt Francis

Singer-Songwriter Matt Francis, from Plainsboro in Middlesex County, challenges traditional masculinity while embracing raw emotional honesty on his just-released EP, Forever Guaranteed. The EP is where vulnerability meets determination. As he says, “what began as the final project of a two-year adventure—writing songs and teaching myself to record them in [my] humble home studio—evolved into something far more meaningful than I ever imagined.”

He calls it “tough guy love songs.” It starts with “Boyfriend,” a rather silly self-examination about his qualifications for such. “Russian Roulette” has a Tom Petty vibe. “In Between” solidifies his self-worth. “Take A Shot At Me,” according to the artist, “is for the tough ones who aren’t afraid to love harder than they fight. Give me all you’re got in this love, and I’ll be here through whatever may come.”  “Reason I Drink” is a song to a bartender because there’s obviously a tear in his beer. “Each track carries pieces of my story,” he concludes, “crafted with passion despite the limitations. The imperfections? They’re part of the charm.”
