Meet… Neon Rayon

Neon Rayon

Asbury Park these days still explodes with talent. The debut Arrival EP of Neon Rayon comes like an oddball gift from the cosmos. The rhythms captivate. The melodies are robotic. The beats will move your feets. The mix is fun, noisy and oftentimes chaotic. With influences like England’s A Flock Of Seagulls, Cleveland’s Nine Inch Nails, Chicago’s Ministry, Ohio’s Devo and Sweden’s The Hives, they have yet to tour but are, reportedly, excited about the prospect of leaving the Jersey Shore for an extended period of time. Like Philadelphia’s Sun Ra, who claimed to have been from the planet Saturn, Neon Rayon claims to have been born in an outer space test tube.
