(They like to call themselves “poptimistic.”) Mistakes are a Friend of Mine is the debut EP. Opener “Better Off” is their anthem. They duet with country singer Jessica Rose on “All Torn Apart.” On “Not What I Want,” they embrace the duality of needing to move on yet admitting the past has them tightly wrapped. “Is This Love” is for those who are blessed enough to even ask that question of themselves. “Happy Again” is to rebound after heartbreak. All of these poignant emotions and reflective observations are set to music one can jump up and down to.
Singer Colton Braun, guitarist Mikey Strawz and drummer Dan Carr point to Coldplay and U2 as influences. Their future looks bright.
