A New Year’s Lullaby From The New Bardots

A New Year’s Lullaby by The New Bardots

The almost-famous Wayne B. Olivieri, from Union County, just finished recording what he’s calling “a New Year’s lullaby” (Bongo Boy Records) at Sky Lab Studios in Monmouth County with his band, The New Bardots—keyboardist John Croot, drummer Johnnie Rago, bassist Dan Skye, guitarist Gar Francis. It comes on the heels of his terrific book, The Undiscovered Showman. Self-produced, Olivieri says, “it’s a tribute to the week between Christmas and the New Year before going back into the routine of life, work, school, paying bills, leftovers for dinner, returning presents and recovering from Round #1 of holiday madness before capping it off with Round #2 on New Year’s Eve.

“We normally record a Christmas song every year,” the singer continues, “but this year we decided to step away from the crowded Christmas song pool and give New Year’s a walk in the holiday song spotlight so sit back, turn it up loud and enjoy. Happy Holidays.”
