All ‘Hail The Rebel Queen’ of Black Rose Rebellion

Black Rose Rebellion

Split between Middlesex and Hudson counties, the hard rock’n’roll of Black Rose Rebellion will be unleashed Friday via Pavement Entertainment. Hail The Rebel Queen is a shock to the system, a debut so direct and unsparing in its explicit and profound heaviness (without actually being metal) that it will be hard to ignore.

The lead singer, Trybe, is a ball-busting character out of a super-hero comic book. Four years in the making, Trybe and guitarist-composer Dave “The Rock Doc” Rosenfeld were strangers fed up with the music business when they met and sparks flew. Doc was gonna go back to being a dentist. It was his drummer wife, Kar Rose, who convinced him otherwise. They both bonded with Trybe who completely impressed the couple (she also plays piano and clarinet).  Trybe spent 13 years in the Army, a Drill Sargeant who took no shit. Brooklyn bassist Michelle Mayhem completes the picture and now their stage is set.
