Bongo James Mastro’s Photos Exhibited

James Mastro

And we thought James Mastro of famed Hoboken band The Bongos was just a singer-songwriter-guitarist who has a terrific debut solo album, Dawn of a New Error. Little did we know that he’s a shutterbug who constantly took pictures while on tour around the world. Now his photographs will be prominently displayed in an exhibit called “The Passenger” from this Thursday, Oct. 16, to November 23 at the 503 Social Club in Hoboken. “I get a song lyric or idea out of many of the images I capture,” explains Mastro. “They put me back in a scene and then the imagination just adds more color.”
