Monmouth University in West Long Branch announced recently it would build a building to house its Springsteen Archives. The plan for the $45 million structure—not due until 2026—is to erect a 30,000-square foot space containing a 230-seat concert room, artifact exhibits, workshops, symposia, film screenings and lectures. The current location for the Archives—which already contains over 37.000 items—is in a rather small on-campus building. Here’s what Bruce had to say as introduced by historian Bob Santelli.
