Bruce: Still ‘Born To Run’ After 50 Years

Bruce Springsteen Clarence Clemons Born To Run

Pictures from Eric Meola's iconic photo shoot for the Born To Run cover will be part of the album's 50th Anniversary celebrations this week.

A special concert this Wednesday, Sept. 3, has been added to the various celebrations put on by the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music (BSACAM) to honor the 50th Anniversary of Born To Run, the album that made Bruce a star. “Born To Run: A Jersey Shore Celebration Concert” will take place Wednesday at the Pollak Theatre, on the campus of Monmouth University in West Long Branch at 7:30 p.m., on the eve of the four-day symposium, Sept. 4, 5, 6, 7, which will include a conference, an art exhibit, a screening of never-before-seen studio footage, and appearances by E Street members.

An intriguing lineup of Jersey Artistry will be on full display at the show—tickets are a mere $25—including original E Street drummer Vini “Mad Dog” Lopez, Williams Honor, Pat Roddy, Jake Thistle, Pat Guadagno, Richie Blackwell and others.
