Cape May Singer-Songwriter Showcase Set For March 28 & 29

Cape May Singer Songwriter

The Cape May Singer-Songwriter Showcase weekend is set for March 28 and 29 with performances, music-biz panels, workshops, keynotes and jams galore all happening at the Congress Hall Hotel Grand Ballroom, the Harrison Conference Center, and 15 music venues.  They come from far and wide to participate in this grand event (which was closed for a few years). This year, though, is promising to be a doozy.

Couldn't Be Happiers

One of the performing bands will be the Couldn’t Be Happiers duo, an indie-folk husband-wife act from North Carolina whose Couple(t)s album—released in two parts—chronicles their love. Part #1 came out in December. Part #2 isn’t due until June 13 but the song “Wherever You Go,” is out now. It follows the same format as Part #1 with two love songs, two protest songs and two Americana story-songs. Guitarist Jordan Crosby Lee and drummer-harmonica player Jodi Hildebran Lee both sing and write. Musically, it’s all over the map from a New Orleans second-line groove to challenging industrial to bluegrass.
