‘Dharmageddon,’ by Bergen County Mainstay Bamberdost, Lands With A Bang

Bamberdost

Bamberdost, the East Rutherford trio comprised of 1980s veterans Paul Mauled, Chris Pingor and Jack Gibson, have followed up last year’s Songs About Your Girlfriend album with Dharmageddon, a loud, ballsy, almost anthemic album with “adult songs about complicated relationships,” as our friend Jim Testa writes in his “Constant Listener.” As Mauled says, “I was a dude playing love songs on acoustic guitar and then I recruited some other dudes to back me up.”

There’s something about older guys playing punk-rock with the lessons learned from a lifetime in the trenches that just rings true.
