The Beautiful Lies of Eric Sleeper’s debut has him losing his mind. Indeed, the Morris County rocker, fearful of losing a relationship that has proven itself to be toxic, coupled with the hardships of a working musician, has resulted in his “Losing My Mind” single. Influenced by emo, and 2000s grunge/alt-rock, as evidenced by its introspective lyricism offset by sonic guitars and heartfelt vocals that bleed with pain.  Produced by Simon Ficken at Backroom Studios in nearby Rockaway, you can feel his pain. It will be released this Friday. You can Pre-Save here.

As he says, “the song plays on human nature, to dwell on someone who isn’t worth your time, yet somehow seems to have a vacancy in your mind. Plus, it’s about fighting, not the physical, but the mental day-to-day as an artist. It’s mundane, it’s dark, it’s exhausting and it’s beautiful all at the same time…this plays on the fact that you gotta get beat up and lose a lot, but fight through that and give everything you have.”
