Get Ready For The Free Punk Unplugged Festival in Tuckerton On September 7

Ryan Hanratty

September 7 is the date of the Punk Unplugged Festival at The Union Market & Gallery down the shore in Tuckerton, Ocean County. Between the live music—supplied by Dark & Stormy, Funeral Doors, The Record Keeper, Ray Wildey, Catch Me If You Can, Mxtchxll and Peach Creek—and art exhibitions, vendors will also display their wares. Promoted by Chris Rockwell of Soup Can magazine, the event—from noon to 4:00 p.m.—is free as is parking (there is a $5 food/drink minimum). Soup Can is a New Jersey quarterly print publication for art and poetry “aiming to celebrate diversity and dismantle systems of oppression through cultural expression,” according to its mission statement. The multi-talented Ryan Hanratty—who performs as Catch Me If You Can—is also a Film Editor who did great work on The Jersey Sound documentary that can currently be seen on Tubi and YouTube.
