Good Damage is ‘Better Off Alone’

Good Damage

The feisty throb of “Better Off Alone” seems to get better and better with each successive listen. And, that, right there, is the mark of a solid single. It’s a jet-propelled piece of pop-punk that Good Damage excels at. Guitarist Darin Dickey, bassist Cassie Entin, drummer Cooper Hughes and singer Isabella Pombrio (I’m in love!) are half from North Jersey and half from Central Jersey. The preceding single, “Forget November,” showed pop smarts but didn’t prepare for the all-out assault of its follow-up. Birthed only three years ago, the juxtaposition of their constant rattle and hum against the lush vocals makes for an intriguing animal of ferocious proportions. Recorded in Raritan with producer Anthony Krizan of the Spin Doctors, someone should get this song to Van Zandt over at “Underground Garage”! Hear it here:
