He just opened for the Jayhawks at the Newton Theatre Saturday and now James Mastro of The Bongos, Health & Happiness Show and Ian Hunter will flex his musical muscle as a solo A-List Americana rockin’ singer-songwriter in support of his debut solo effort, Dawn Of A New Error.

On November 9, the Hoboken Guitar Hero will lead his Gold Stars band with drummer Dennis Diken (The Smithereens), bassist Tony Shanahan (Patti Smith Band), guitarist Chris Robertson and vocalist-guitarist Megan Reilly in West Freehold at  Concerts In The Studio. Then, on November 23, Mastro will open for Marshall Crenshaw at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park.
