Mariel Loveland says, “I feel more excited than nervous…this is the only thing I have ever wanted.” She performs and records as Best Ex, and she’ll be following up her 2020 Good At Feeling Bad EP, with With A Smile, on October 6 (Iodine Recordings/Alcopop! Records).  Second single “I Promise To Ruin Your Life” is out now, a rather jaunty affair, cascading forth with bouncy near-promises. Recorded in Brooklyn and Pilesgrove in Salem County on the Jersey side of the Philly border, the first single/video from With A Smile, “Tell Your Friends,” has her mostly in bed, irresistible and pouting.
