Is Nikki Nicole a Victim of ‘The 19th Theory’?

Nikki Nicole

There’s a popular social media concept that has gone viral called “The 19th Theory.” It posits the notion that the person you fall in love with at 19 will become your most intense and painful heartbreak. Singer-Songwriter-Entertainer Nikki Nicole—a Harvard graduate from Clifton—addresses it in her new single, “19.” She started singing at seven years old with her twin sister in the duo Coco & Jojo. A video of her performing Whitney Houston’s 1985 “How Will I Know” with her collegiate acapella group, The Harvard Opportunes, garnered over 13 million views.

Now comes her new pop-R’n’B single “19.” As her camp explains, “the song explores young love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Through heartfelt lyrics and layered vocals, Nikki tells the story of two people who care deeply for each other but have different visions for their futures.”
