Jon Bon Jovi Feeds Federal Workers

Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen

As the government shutdown drags on with no end in sight, over a million federal workers are being asked to continue work with no pay (including air traffic controllers and the Coast Guard). An estimated 450,000 of them have been furloughed and are not working at all. The two JBJ Soul Kitchens have always operated on a pay-what-you-can or don’t-pay-at-all-if you-can’t- afford-it basis. Or you can volunteer. Now Bon Jovi is offering complete three-course meals to all local federal workers affected by the government shutdown just for showing a valid fed ID. The two locations are 207 Monmouth Street in Red Bank and 1769 Hooper Avenue in Toms River. Jon has never made politics a staple of his activism. He’s worked with Dems as well as Repub Gov. Christie.
