Marc Ribler Honors Dick Cavett

The Pride of Orange in Essex County, singer-songwriter-musician-producer Marc Ribler, graduated from the College of Musical Knowledge by playing in top Jersey cover band Holme before composing 40+ songs for Major Label artists, recording his own solo albums, composing movie soundtracks, the theme for a Trojan condom commercial, and always stepping up for charity benefits. From onstage backing John Denver plus Peter Paul & Mary to in the studio with Aerosmith and Bowie, it’s small wonder Stevie Van Zandt tapped him to be Musical Director for Little Steven & The Disciples Of Soul.

It's all come full circle with his terrific band Story Road with drummer Charley Drayton (Dylan/Keith Richards) and bassist Jack Daley (Lenny Kravitz/Spin Doctors). The latest single from their Armageddon album (Wicked Cool Records) is “Dick Cavett” and it’s a hoot!

Dick Cavett hosted the hippest talk-show in history starting in 1968 lasting for many years. He catered to the counter-culture talking to legends like Hendrix, Sly Stone, Clapton, Joplin, Crosby, Stills, John & Yoko, Black Panther Angela Davis, Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell.

For the video, Ribler, with cast members of The Sopranos, went to see Cavett, 87, at his home.
