The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (One Center Street, Newark) has announced its 2024-2025 classical music season.

October 6.  “Voice Of Nature.” Xian Zhang conducts the New Jersey Symphony with soprano Renee Fleming in this multi-media extravaganza spanning the Romantic Era (1820-1900), sprinkled with music from the Contemporary Era (1970s-1990s) in celebration of nature, as the National Geographic Society provides filmed images.

November 23. The Kronos Quartet. Boundary-Pushing, eclectic, eccentric fusionists of the highest order, The Kronos Quartet (two violins, viola, cello) celebrates gospel icon Mahalia Jackson [1911-1972] as seen through the lens of some of today’s foremost classical composers.

March 8, 2025. Pianist Bruce Liu with the internationally beloved chamber orchestra known as Academy of St, Martin In The Fields.  Liu won the 2021 Chopin Piano Competition and, in the classical world, is a rock star.
