Broadway World magazine once wrote that “their stillness was as impressive as their movement, and their presence even on the sidelines was immersive.” Tell Tchaikovsky the news:  his 1889 Sleeping Beauty ballet is still a big hit in 2025. The tale of a princess cursed to sleep for a century stems back to the year 1330. This company’s masterful dance sequences, colorful costumes, lavish scenery and festive music will capture the attention of young and old alike.

The Jersey City-based Nimbus Dance Company’s new take on an old ballet has two quirky Jersey kids dancing their way through magic, battles with bullies and big rats in a thrilling adventure that takes place in classic Jersey landscapes from parks and bustling street corners to back alleys, sewers and City Hall with surprises along the way.
