Princeton’s Free Porchfest Set For April 25

Porchfest

The fifth annual edition of Princeton’s popular free multi-genre Porchfest will take place Saturday, April 25, at noon for five hours on multiple porches all over town with sets of live music. Performers do 45-minute sets.  Applications to participate are being accepted now until February 12. Neighbors offer up their porches to musicians who volunteer their talents. The Arts Council of Princeton pairs up porches with performers and you can volunteer your porch or your talent. Porches are chosen so that they are in small clusters spread across town, easily walkable to one another. Bathrooms, restaurants and parking are easily accessible. There is no rain-date.

The Princeton Public Library and the Princeton University Art Museum will be part of the presentations for “Story & Verse: Storytelling, Poetry & Spoken Word Outdoor Stage” from 3:00 to 4:30. An open mic event will be held outside the Hinds Plaza where Brass Rabbit will host those who want to do a five-minute set of anything!
