Rahway is ‘Drowning’ But Announces Tour

Rahway

The amalgam of grit, hard-rock, old-school metal, indie-rock, shock value and punk have manifested itself into the cohesive whole of Rahway, named after their hometown in Union County. The new single is “Drowning.” The new tour starts January 21 in SC, before traveling on to NC, TN, KY. PA, MA and CT, opening for Scotty Austin, the former lead singer of Saving Abel.

Singer Nick Hade, guitarist David Cardenas, bassist Chigger and drummer Steve Cardenas consider themselves “The Slumlords of New Jersey,” telling The Jersey Sound that the new single, “Drowning,” began “as a simple riff and turned into this full-blown opus about being a fraud in the age of social media—false photos, AI flexes, pretend lifestyles. Everyone looks like they’re everywhere, doing everything, when really they’re alone in a one-bedroom apartment, drowning in bills and craving relevance. The tour is all about connecting with our fans—old friends and new family alike. Expect unstoppable live energy, next-level performances, and a night full of music that sticks with you long after the last chord.”

Influenced by fellow Jersey Boyz Skid Row, they’ve signed with Pavement Entertainment and hope to soon slay crowds from coast to coast. They’ve already done so opening for Buckcherry, Slash, Godsmack, Stone Temple Pilots and Greta Van Fleet.
