Ross Farm Jazz Fest May 17

Dave Stryker

West Orange Guitarist Extraordinaire Dave Stryker will highlight next month's Ross Farm Jazz Fest in Basking Ridge.

As part of the 2025 Ross Farm Music Series on North Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge, Ross Farm Jazz happens May 17 from 2:00 in the afternoon to 8:00 at night with funky West Orange guitar player Dave Stryker who made a batch of new fans when he opened for Steely Dan last year. Other acts include the Frankie Midnight Quartet featuring Carl Gerhard, the Rutgers Jazz Guitar Ensemble, the Montclair State Jazz Combo, the William Paterson Brecker Brothers Ensemble and two student bands from Ridge High School in Somerset County. Word has it Stryker will jam it on out with some of the other acts. Word to the wise: this guy is hot hot hot! Stryker can shred with sophistication, daring and a sense of adventure. (Stryker will also light up Shanghai Jazz in Madison on May 23 and Scullers Jazz Club, the hippest room in Boston, on June 7.)
