Shaquille O’Neal To Again Host His ‘Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival’

Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival

Our favorite NBA Hall of Famer/Rapper/DJ/entrepreneur Shaquille O’Neal—born in Newark 53 years ago—will host his “Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival” in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas at Panther Island Pavilion with 15 acts on two stages March 21. Over 30,000 fans jammed his last two fests. This year’s model will include Texas cookin’, immersive art installations and even a ferris wheel.

Shaq—who goes by the name of DJ Diesel for his music projects—has always been into electronic bass music. His fifth album, 2023’s Gorilla Warfare, was his first electronica bass extravaganza. As Shaq says, “everything’s bigger in Texas so this year we are making our biggest fest yet. The production is bigger, the lineup is bigger, and the entire festival experience will be on another level. We level up every year and this one’s going to shake the ground.”
