Sussex County Songstress Sets Tour and Releases Expanded ‘Avalanche’

Jenny Owen Youngs, 43, was raised in the woods of Sussex County. It was a decade between her third album (An Unwavering Band Of Light) and last year’s 10-track fourth (Avalanche). Why did it take so long? She was busy touring the world, writing hits for others, starting a popular podcast, writing a book, and having her songs placed in movies and TV shows. She also got married, got divorced, got married again, moved out of New Jersey to Brooklyn and then to Los Angeles and then to Maine.

Yep Roc Records has re-released Avalanche as a 20-track beauty with all sorts of remixes, reimagined songs, in-concert moments, demos and a new single, “Someone’s Ex.” Youngs—a singer/songwriter/producer who plays guitar, bass, flute and tuba—is also set to tour early next year. You can catch her annual holiday livestream 8:00 p.m. TOMORROW at: https://www.moment.co/jennyowenyoungs
