Tony Orlando Wins ‘The Louis Prima Award’ In New Orleans
Longtime Union City and Hasbrouck Heights resident Tony Orlando, 80, was honored in Louisiana with “The Louis Prima Award.” The award was established in 2011 by Prima’s wife Gia Prima with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). “I was so humbled to receive this award at the Louisiana Italian-American Sports Hall of Fame Gala,” gushed Orlando.
The Class of 2023 Gets Inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame
Tony Orlando was honored October 29 at NJ PAC in Newark with fellow inductees singer-songwriter Patti Scialfa (Deal) and producer-writer-director David Chase (The Sopranos) of Clifton and North Caldwell, in the entertainment category. New York Giant running back Tiki Barber (Florham Park) and WNBA all-star Sue Wicks, a Rutgers alum, were also inducted, in the sports category.
Tony Orlando and Patti Scialfa To be Inducted Into The New Jersey Hall of Fame
The 15th class of inductees to the New Jersey Hall of Fame were announced last week. Among the honorees are singer Tony Orlando (Union City) and singer-songwriter-guitarist Patti Scialfa (Deal) of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. The ceremony will take place in Newark at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on October 29.
