The Rolling Stones to Revisit Historic 2012 Newark Concert

Arguably, THE New Jersey concert of 2012 had to be the Rolling Stones at The Prudential Center in Newark on December 15. That’s the show where Bruce jammed out with Mick, Keith, Ron, and Charlie on “Tumbling Dice.” Seen once as a pay-per-view, it has yet to be seen since. Until now.

A 50th Anniversary of that show will be available February 10 from Mercury Studios as a three-album live vinyl set (in red, black or white vinyl), double-disc CD, DVD+2 CD package or Blu-Ray + 2 CD package. “GRRR Live!” will also feature jams from that historic night with Lady Gaga (“Gimme Shelter”), John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr. (“Going Down”), The Black Keys (“Who Do You Love”), and even former Stone lead guitarist Mick Taylor (“Midnight Rambler”). Bonus songs “Respectable” (with Mayer) and “Around And Around” have been added to this remixed and re-edited gem.

The concert will also stream February 2 at 8:00 p.m. e.s.t. online at RollingStonesNewark.com via interactive video company Kiswe’s global live streaming technology.  Reportedly, Kiswe allows fans to be part of the experience as one can upload a short video of one’s self that might actually be part of the program, seen by people around the world. More info on this in the coming weeks.
