Julien’s Auctions—the leading pop-culture auction house—will hold “The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation 2026 Auction” in Los Angeles on August 11 to benefit the Houston estate’s foundation. Foundation President/Estate Executor Pat Houston said in a press release, “this is our second year with Julien’s Auctions and their global reach has been fantastic. This year, we have some super great one-of-a-kind memorabilia from Whitney’s archives and we are excited about the auction.” The foundation’s initiatives include scholarships and services to disadvantaged youth. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the foundation.

Items to be auctioned off include the dress Whitney wore at the 1988 American Music Awards, the platinum record for “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” the gown she wore on the 1998-1999 “My Love Is Your Love” world tour, a Bob Mackie-styled “embellished jacket,” and the 1987 Richard Avedon portrait that hung on her office wall. An auction preview concert will take place in L.A. on what would have been Whitney’s 63rd birthday August 8 starring Babyface.
