Ali Auburn by Lamar Pacley

It’s been seven years since Morristown singer-songwriter Ali Auburn released new music. Her new single, “Win Or Lose,” is a beautiful heartfelt ode to finally finding the right person in life. Raised in Cherry Hill, she started writing songs at the age of six, taught herself guitar at 12, trained professionally with a vocal coach at 13, and, before health problems derailed a promising career after opening shows for  Chris Young, the Zac Brown Band and the late Peter Yarrow of folk icons Peter, Paul & Mary, she founded “Don’t Forget To Love Yourself,” a mental health initiative promoting self-worth, confidence and suicide prevention.

“‘Win or Lose’ will always be one of the most special songs I’ve ever written,” Auburn shares. “It’s about finding someone unexpectedly who makes you want to start dreaming again, and then choosing to protect that dream no matter what life brings. I wrote it about love, but coming back to release it now feels like a symbolic way of choosing music again, win or lose. I’m finally creating from a place of peace and purpose. I can’t wait for people to hear what’s coming next.” To that end, a full-length album is being readied for 2026.
