White Eagle Hall in Jersey City To Host Thurston Moore October 24

Thurston Moore

On October 24, White Eagle Hall in Jersey City will host Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth reading from his new book Sonic Life, after which he will field questions and play some music. In chronicling his adventures starting Sonic Youth in 1981 New York City, Moore’s book has, in the words of author Colson Whitehead, “…unearthed the missing links, the sacred texts, the forgotten stories, and the secret maps of the lost golden age. This is history—scuffed, slightly bent, plenty noisy and indispensable.” Moore currently teaches at Naropa University in Colorado, maintaining two residences in the States and Great Britain. Tickets for this all-ages event are $42.50 and includes one pre-signed book.
