Zakk Wylde joins Pantera for 2023 tour

Zakk Wylde—born in Bayonne—will join the two surviving members of Pantera plus Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante for a 2023 tour. Vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown—who originally refused to participate—have now signed off on the deal that will bring the heavy metal heroes to major festivals throughout North America and Europe next summer. The estates of the Abbott Brothers—Vincent “Vinnie Paul” Abbott and “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott—are solidly behind the project.
