Boston’s Dead Poet Society—vocalist-guitarist Jack Underkofler, guitarist Jack Collins, drummer Will Goodroad and bassist Dylan Brenner—has been described as “heavy indie-rock” with down-tuned riffs contrasting with softer pop choruses. Their second album, Fission, was just released with “My Condition” the first single, described by the singer as “one of our favorites. It took years to write and it’s about knowing that nothing matters, so you might as well go for what brings you fulfillment and do what you want.” The band formed in 2013 while they were all students at the Berklee College of Music.
