The first show of most major national tours is like a dress rehearsal. It’s loose, and oftentimes the band tries out what they think might work for the rest of the tour. On January 24, Boston’s Extreme will start their “Thicker Than Blood” tour in Englewood at the Bergen PAC in support of their new SIX album. Nuno Bettencourt has been at this for quite some time now. “No matter how great a band believes they are,” he says, “you cannot achieve your dreams of touring the world doing what you love most, performing, without your fans. It’s the most important relationship in our career.” Singer Gary Cherone is sounding better than ever after being one of Van Halen’s three lead singers. (His tenure was in the late ‘90s for a few years.)
