Meet… Mihali

He lives in Vermont now but Mihali will never let the Jersey out of his soul. When’s the last time you met an artist who wrote such a solid song about the town he’s from. “Maplewood” is the song. Maplewood is also the town in Essex County where he’s from. He’s a singer, songwriter, guitarist and reggae lover whose band Twiddle put him on the musical map. Now he’s solo and the sky’s the limit. In 2020, his Breathe and Let Go introduced an eclectic artist whose scope knew no boundaries. Between its collaborations with Citizen Cope, Matisyahu and G. Love & Special Sauce, it garnered millions of streams.

During the pandemic, he turned towards his inner strength to reach a state of zen through music. He sent his demo to guitarist/vocalist Nathan Feinstein who added drums, bass, piano and guitar. “He’s a genius,” says Mihali. It turned into last year’s Effection.

"Effection is about reawakening passion in your life, and making positive changes towards a healthier mind, body, and spirit. These are often the hardest changes to make but I believe we all have the courage inside of us to do it. Anything is possible if you want it bad enough,” he says.
