Meet… Sarah Manzo

Sarah Manzo

The Beatles taught us in 1967 that “All You Need Is Love.” Singer-Songwriter Sarah Manzo now reminds us on her new single that “Faith Is All You Need.” Originally from Bergen County, Manzo has since moved to Nashville. As she says, “I moved around the end of the pandemic. I had been studying at the Collaborative Arts Project’s Musical Theater Conservatory in New York City but I ended up leaving the program to fully pursue my own music. It’s been exciting! I just wrapped up my first East Coast City Winery tour, and I’m thrilled that my new single is officially out. I’m really looking forward to what the rest of this year holds, and I’d absolutely love to come back and play some New Jersey shows soon!”

There are those who would easily slide her sound into a soul-pop mode and they wouldn’t be wrong. But she’s so much more. Manzo would’ve fit right in on Sarah McLaughlin’s pioneering 1997 “Lilith Fair” tour. She is, reportedly, hard at work on a concept EP scheduled to land this fall. “Faith Is All You Need” is rather bold. It’s a feel-good anthem with a quietly powerful message at its core. Between the synthesizers, her every-woman vocal, and that soaring melody that will have you humming by the end of the very first listen, Manzo is, in a word, dynamic.
