Meet… Window Weather

Window Weather

Jersey City is busting out all over with all kinds of bands, one of which is Window Weather. WW is helmed by the sultry vocals of Georgia Sebesky and the harmony of her songwriter partner, guitarist Evan Dibbs. With new drummer Samir Tawalare, the 10-track Out From Under debut is smart, catchy, memorable and promising. The theme is change, in all its many manifestations. Co-Produced by Erik Kase Romero (with Dibbs), co-written and arranged by pianist John Kadian, the strings, the horns, the sentiment, all coalesce into a powerful statement. Its structural sense—complete with the colors of trumpet, accordion, organ, flugelhorn, fiddles, viola, cello, vibes and chimes—makes manifest an inner logic all their own.
