Best Ex Teams Up With Synthpop’s Soft Faith

Best Ex

We told you about Mariel Loveland last August (“Hoboken Temptress Promises To Ruin Your Life”). Now her band, Best Ex, has collaborated with synthpop band Soft Faith for a remix of a song originally on her With A Smile debut. The remixed song, “Die For You,” is now influenced by Depeche Mode. “I have never done anything like this before,” says the Hoboken Temptress. “I’ve always been attracted to a darker sound, and this was finally the opportunity to express it. It’s like the polar opposite of the music I used to make when [Soft Faith’s] Kenny [Fletcher] and I first met. I’m so proud to see my career constantly evolving, and I couldn’t be more in love with the remix.”
