Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music Teams Up with the LBJ Presidential Library

The exhibit is called “Music America: Iconic Objects from America’s Music History.” It opened February 17 and runs through August 11 at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin Texas. Over 100 objects will be on display. This includes BB King’s beloved guitar Lucille, a fox stole worn by Billie Holiday, a handmade velvet shirt worn by Elvis, Chuck D’s handwritten lyrics to “Fight The Power,” the clothes Bruce wore on the cover of Born In The USA, Leonard Bernstein’s baton, John Coltrane’s sax, Woody Guthrie’s signed “This Land Is Your Land” lyric-sheet (the song that should be our National Anthem), Madonna’s “Like A Virgin” wedding gown, Willie’s boots, Prince’s “Purple Rain” shirt, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s guitar and Taylor Swift’s outfit and guitar from her “Reputation” stadium tour.
