Bruce Answers Questions at ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ Screening

Bruce Springsteen don't give a fuck

The new Bruce film, Deliver Me From Nowhere, starring Jeremy Allen White, is almost here and its protagonist has been duly promoting it. At a recent advance screening of the film at the prestigious Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, Bruce sat and answered questions. As the credits rolled at film’s end, the audience gave it a standing ovation. But one thing Bruce said during the Q&A stayed with us. It’s so Bruce. When asked why he agreed to have a film of his life made, Bruce reportedly said because “I’m old and I don’t give a fuck.” When the E Street Nation Facebook group posted this, the comments were priceless. And, as Bruce wrote in “Badlands” in 1978, “poor man wanna be rich, rich man wanna be king, and a king ain’t satisfied ‘til he rules everything, I wanna go out tonight, I wanna find out what I got.” Forty-seven years later, his words still resonate.
