Crawfish Fest Revs It Back Up Again

Rockin' Dopsie

Rockin' Dopsie & The Zydeco Twisters play Crawfish Fest May 31 at 3:00 p.m.

We’re so glad Michael Arnone will be bringing a lot of Louisiana back to New Jersey at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta May 30, 31 and June 1. Starting in 1989, it continued every year until the pandemic knocked it off-course in 2020 and 2021 but it returned in 2022, and there hasn’t been one since. Crawfish Fests are always a joyous occasion with Cajun music, blues, jazz, folk and food. Oh that food! It’s the real deal. I won’t soon forget chomping on some gumbo, crawfish etouffee, jambalaya, red beans and rice, those sweet beignets (best eaten with café au lait) and, best of all, those po-boys. And that was just on Day #1!
